The Blue Lotus Temple was founded in 2002 by a monk from Sri Lanka named Bhante Sujatha and has resided thoughout McHenry County Illinois ever since. The Blue Lotus Temple focuses on ease of access for all and has a wide variety of services to assist those who know nothing about Buddhism or meditation. The Blue Lotus Temple is very active and has something going on somewhere almost every day.
