Yoga with Natasha at Blue Lotus
Yoga with Natasha at Blue Lotus
4/11/24 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Blue Lotus Buddhist Temple, 221 Dean St, Woodstock, IL 60098, USA
Join me in class as we mindfully flow in a vinyasa sequence. Allowing the body to connect with our breath, determining each asana (posture). Connecting our breath with our body is essential in our practice, allowing us to become more mindful. As you deepen and strengthen your practice not only on the mat but off the mat. You will feel more grounded within.
Meet Natasha:
Natasha is a mindful, compassionate peace seeker, a true Bhakti Yogi.
Natasha started her personal yoga journey in 201 4under the guidance of the late, Nancy May of Yoga from the Heart. In April 2021, Natasha studied yoga and meditation in Belize with both Nancy May and the loving kindness Monk, Venerable Bhante Sujatha of the Blue Lotus Temple in Woodstock, IL. The self-discovery that occurred on this trip, led
Natasha to the decision to dedicate her life to yoga and her desire to share her practices with the world.
In 2022, Natasha became certified to teach yoga under the guidance of Julia Jonson of TBY yoga and is a (RYT-200) registered instructor with the Yoga Alliance. Natasha believes that yoga is much more than physical poses or "asana."
Yoga is skill in action, a beautiful introduction to oneself, from oneself. Natasha believes that yoga can also be our teacher or guide.
Natasha cannot wait to practice with you, sharing the essence of yoga with you. Natasha's practices will lead you on a journey of self-compassion, self-acceptance, and self-love.
"Yoga is like music. The rhythm of the
body, the melody of the mind, and the
harmony of the soul create the
symphony of life."
~ B.K.S. Iyengar

https://us06web.zoom.us/j/87150152272
Buddhism is considered one of the world's great religions with sacred texts, unique religious art, architecture, customs and rituals that have inspired millions of people for over two millennia. Today it is also gaining widespread appreciation in many western countries including the US. However, in many ways the Buddhist approach, or the Buddha-Dharma, has much more in common with science and "traditional religion." The Buddha was not interested in mere metaphysical or philosophical speculations about the nature of life, afterlife, gods, or heavens and hells. He was intent on realizing " knowledge and vision of reality." Having done that himself, he gave as the means by which others can verify the efficacy of his enlightenment. He challenges us to do the "experiment" to verify the results.
John Cianciosi was ordained a Buddhist monk in Thailand in 1972 and trained under the country's most gifted and influential meditation masters, the late Venerable Ajahn Chah. Later, he was appointed abbot of Wat Pah, Nanachat, the International Forest Monastery established to provide training for the growing number of Ajahn Chah's western disciples. In 1982, he was asked to establish a Buddhist monastery in Perth, Western Australia. For the next 14 years, he was instrumental in successfully establishing Bodhinyana Monastery and Dhammaloka Buddhist Centre. In 1995 he left monastic life and move to the Chicago, IL area where he continues to share his insights and wisdom.

Yoga with Natasha at Blue Lotus
Yoga with Natasha at Blue Lotus
4/25/24 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
~ B.K.S. Iyengar
